Development of starch blended guar gum biodegradable films reinforced with cellulose nanocrystals

This project is a collaborative effort to create a replacement to petroleum based plastic packaging.  Guar gum, starch and cellulose nanoparticles were studied as raw materials for the preparation of biodegradable films. Their potential to be used in conventional manufacturing units were explored.
